Book Dictionary

A short note citing people important to the writing or execution of the work. They can appear before or after the preface, with after being more common.

A pre-mixed printing ink (like Pantone) used when exact reproduction of a specific color is required, such as for brand logos. Spot colors are more expensive than CMYK but guarantee absolute fidelity.

Components that precede the main text of a book, such as the title page, dedication, acknowledgments, preface, and table of contents.
