Offset Printing
A mechanical transfer printing system where a matrix (a metal plate) with the desired content needs to be produced and inserted into large machines full of rollers and inks (offset presses). Blank paper enters one side of the machine, passes between the rollers and matrices, and exits on the other side already printed. These machines print thousands of copies per hour and have fixed matrix preparation costs. As it is a system with fixed costs and high production capacity, it is ideal for medium and large print runs.
