Layout is one of the main stages in book production. It involves the practical application of guidelines from the graphic design project, through actions such as distributing text on pages, positioning titles, subtitles, text hierarchy, fitting images, tables, and applying all pre- and post-textual elements. It is at this stage that the book begins to take shape and ceases to be a text file.
