Critical Reading
A reading performed with the intent to analyze the quality of a work, which can be from a technical, grammatical, or editorial perspective. It is not a proofread, but rather a reading that seeks to find flaws, suggest improvements, inconsistencies, weaknesses, and strengths. Furthermore, it can be a reading that analyzes quality from an editor's point of view, to see if the work meets market editorial standards.
